As you may have heard, the shortest chapter of the Bible is Psalm 117 (with a mere two verses), and the longest chapter is Psalm 119 (with a whopping 176 verses). Some people claim the center chapter of the Bible is Psalm 118, but that's not quite correct.

Actually Psalm 117 is the center chapter of the Bible (with 594 chapters before it and 594 after it), but the center verses of the Bible do fall within Psalm 118. There are 31,174 verses in the Bible, which means the 15,587th and the 15,588th, are the center verses. That would be Psalm 118:8-9. What do those center verses of the Bible say?

"It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes."

Yay!
