A Different Garden

Back in March, I made this cardboard house for the kids.

They had lots of fun, but the outside walls always seemed to be wanting more to me. I ummed and ahhed about what to add, and how to do it, but then it got stored away under the house for a while and I forgot. At the end of last term, we had the cardboard houses out again (the white one and this big blue one) and I was struck with sudden inspiration. It needed a garden. A garden that the children could paint.

So I painted their palms and got them to press them on the walls (in Hugo's case, it was more like hit the walls) and I dipped their finger tips in for different sized flowers too. They loved it. I got to add the green grass and stems. It's a win.
